Software Developers

We actively encourage other developers to write software applications that expand the uses for the IRAnywhere modules. We maintain a list of available third party applications at

It is possible to write software for these modules that will do one or more of the following:

  • Decode and display the received IR code, Generate new 'perfect' IR codes and send to a module.
  • Create a schedule of tasks and send these to designated modules at pre-defined times.
  • Translate from one type of code to another. You could for example use a Sony remote to control your Sky box etc.(sony -> PC -> module).
  • Run an App on a phone or PDA that would emulate all of your remote controls by sending the correct code to the correct module. With the right device you could control everything from anywhere.
