Software Developers

We actively encourage other developers to write software applications that expand the uses for the IRAnywhere modules. We maintain a list of available third party applications at www.keene.co.uk/iranywhere.

It is possible to write software for these modules that will do one or more of the following:

  • Decode and display the received IR code, Generate new 'perfect' IR codes and send to a module.
  • Create a schedule of tasks and send these to designated modules at pre-defined times.
  • Translate from one type of code to another. You could for example use a Sony remote to control your Sky box etc.(sony -> PC -> module).
  • Run an App on a phone or PDA that would emulate all of your remote controls by sending the correct code to the correct module. With the right device you could control everything from anywhere.

The API is available for download at www.keene.co.uk/iranywhere
